Studio GB65 was invited to design a special edition of Vogue Brazil. It celebrated Vogue Brazil's 30th anniversary and the 10th anniversary of Gisele's modeling career. After a couple long nights in the studio I flew to Brazil to help direct the Vogue Brazil design team. I had the opportunity to design several spreads. This was the first time that my name was in a magazine, a big deal for me.

At Aremo, I was the Director of Design. I art directed these photo shoots, performed all retouching and designed banners for the web site. The collection was in it's initial stages so it was hard to work with but I made the best of it. (Aremo is currently named Amaro.)

Anacapri needed a Tote Bag and Tag Design. They provided a couple images as a brief and I created the concept, mockups and presentation from what they sent.

Before the launch of Airbnb's "Experiences," the art department tested a variety of fonts on the selected poster background. These tests were put into mockups for their critique, evaluating hundreds of options. Before coming to me the designers were doing this all manually. I created an action that sized the main title within the posters' text safe area. Once the designer makes their adjustments, a second action exports all of the formats and mockups needed.

I created a series of actions to export localized iTunes screens. The actions exported assets for all phone sizes, and all languages. A final step was to go back and apply the proper font for languages such as Japanese, Korean, Thai, etc.

For the I Heart Schutz campaign, famous bloggers and vloggers were selected to be featured in an online video. I performed the retouching for all of the photos, created the concept of the video and created the soundtrack with Ableton Live.

I've always wanted to work for COS, so I made an HTML email from scratch and documented the process. This was a very fun project. It's a long shot, but it was worth doing for the fun of it. I made a package to send to the London office and wrote a note inside of Melvil Dewey's original paper on the Dewey Decimal System. I sewed a special pouch and sent it off their head office.

This was a video I created in iMovie whenever I got a job working at the Stockton Street Apple Store in San Francisco.
I always remember this experience because it was when the iPhone just came out. We had the old Easy Pay machines, and one day another employee said, Luke, stop killing us! What? What's up?
It turns out there was a tally of how many sales and easy pay transactions each employee did that day on a bulletin board. Apparently I was always at the top: Luke Carter, 450. The next person below had 70. I do love efficiency!
